About Us
My
Story - the boy inside all of us
The things I
most think of from my childhood are building somethings out of
nothings - you know? The tree that I had to make a tree
house even though your best judgement told you that it was not
going to be easy but it was the coolest tree in the most
perfect place. The dreaming of what a camp would become
even before you put one board or piece of sheet metal together
to make it happen. My friends all had the same drive as
I it seems because we made a lot of tree houses and
camps. Only to destroy of course but that was all in
good fun. I can only hope that my son will have the same
childhood as I when it comes to using his imagination to
build.
The older teenager in me
never strayed too far from the same desire to make things
happen as I became a Lifeguard at the local swimming
pool. Well you say how does that tie into the childhood
building thing..............well you haven't seen that
pool! It needed everything from the block club house
redone to the concrete lining of the pool that always had to
be repaired. Ahhh the days of making minimum wage to sit
in the sun and blow whistles at kids running.
Anyways I have had a life
long interest in architecture and how things were made.
The
path to becoming a Home Inspector and General Contractor
hasn't always been clear or easy, but the challenge of
providing inspection solutions in the Raleigh
area makes it worthwhile.
I love to help families learn the
condition of their home. I love to teach investors how to
maintain and upgrade their properties. I love to show sellers
how to make their house more presentable. I love to help
commercial owners discover the potential of their buildings.
Call me, and we'll do some property detective work!
Business Principles - how we
all relate to one another is key:

Golden Rule: Treating others as I would want to be treated.
(Luke 6:31)

Honesty
in all dealings, even when that is not to my advantage.
(Proverbs 3:32)

accountability with others who follow Christian business
practices. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

Diligent,
objective service at a fair price. (Proverbs 22:29)

About
My Logo - the
oak tree story:
Raleigh was named for Sir Walter Raleigh who, in the
1580's, wanted to establish the first English Colony on the
shores of the new world, but was unsuccessful.
One
of its nicknames is "The City of Oaks" for its many oak
trees.
There's that and then there's the fact that my wife
hated my original names that I came up with so "City of Oaks"
it became!
